Version 1.1 is Jaguar ready
ClassicBooster 1.1 lets the user fully customize the extensions that load when running the Classic environment (MacOS 9) under OSX.
ClassicBooster can also make Classic load in under 15 seconds under typical usage.
How does ClassicBooster work ?
The first time you launch Classic with ClassicBooster, it creates an Extensions Manager Set called Classic. This set contains the minimum number of Extensions and Control Panels needed to run Classic. This set will launch Classic fastest.
Simply use Extensions Manager to edit the Classic set to customize Classic to your specific needs.
Depending on what applications you intend to use under Classic, you should enable any Extensions they need. Use Extensions Manager to edit the Set called "Classic". Note: always leave your default (Mac OS 9) set enabled when you're finished. You shouldn't leave "Classic" as the set to boot into, otherwise this set will be used when you boot in OS 9.
The typical Extensions that you may need to enable are, for Microsoft Products, the many Microsoft Extensions (Entourage 2001 additionally requires "Shared Library Manager PPC", as does Quicken). Other applications may need QuickTime and QuickTime PowerPlug.
Subsequent launches of Classic use your custom designed Extension set and cacheing to launch Classic FAST! Booting in OS9 still uses your normal Extension set, you need do nothing to switch between.
And that's pretty much it. Please read completely the ReadMe file included in the download.
